We’re looking for three dynamic new Business Development Executives to work with our Business Development Manager and Chief Growth Officer to help drive our company up scaling, and take our direct sales results to the next level.

Working in a fun, open and honest culture, you will be self-motivated, a planner and have great sales acumen, helping us to build strong customer relationships and sell Income Group’s services into businesses across the UK.

The position, based out of our Head Office in the Wirral, offers the right candidate the perfect platform to grow in their Business Development career and make an impact at such an important stage in our journey. 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform effective research and develop new business opportunities for Income Group’s services within the small to medium business marketplace
  • Develop sales strategies to best position Income Group B2B services with prospects/clients
  • Initiating outbound telephone, email and social outreach contact with potential customers
  • Qualify and close B2B sales appointments/deals with prospects
  • Identify, develop and qualify new business opportunities with decision makers
  • Excellent administration skills, accurately updating Salesforce (CRM) and providing with accurate synopses of qualified sales appointments and supplying pre-meeting documents
  • Able to work towards and exceed targets with a competitive spirit while upholding quality and integrity
  • Ambassador for Income Group operating professionally at all levels, including C-level
  • Help to co-ordinate workshop style events with partners and prospects
  • Communicate activity and progress to Business Development Manager
  • Participate on weekly update calls and quarterly face to face reviews

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to help drive our company up scaling, and take our direct sales results to the next level.

The post holder will bring strategic insight, smart planning and sales acumen and work closely alongside our supportive leadership team, in particular our Chief Growth Officer.

You will be responsible for leading and motivating a small team of direct Business Development Executives building strong customer relationships and selling Income Group’s services into businesses across the UK.

You will also work closely with the Outreach and Marketing team to shape the new business acquisition and engagement strategy, including content and prospect targeting.

This is a key hire for the business and offers the right candidate the perfect platform and autonomy to further develop our Business Development Team, their own career and really make an impact at such an important stage in our journey.  Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a strategic plan to drive new business customer acquisition
  • Recruit our Business Development team
  • Create new business sales plans and associated targets/commercial plans
  • Manage and motivate the Business Development team to achieve sales targets
  • Identify and nurture prospect/existing relationships with commercial companies across the UK
  • Work with the Chief Growth Officer and Outreach/Marketing Functions to shape prospect/marketing campaigns that stand out
  • Operate as a consultative partner, building relationships with Payroll Bureaux and Accounting firms to identify and close new business
  • Measure and report (Salesforce) on all business development activities, key KPIs and success metrics
  • Prospect potential channel partners and extend our offerings into all sized financial institutions
  • Attend face to face meetings with Prospects/Customers as appropriate to support sales pitches, review meetings etc.
  • Attend events/conferences/tradeshows/webinars as needed to support the direct and partner channels to build profile, identify new business opportunities and cement relationships

About you

We’re seeking someone who wants to make this role their own, who is driven, self-motivated, and can bring some great ideas to the table to drive our sales strategy. The following would also be desirable:

  • Proven ability in achieving sales targets within a fintech, financial services, payment or payroll related business.
  • 8+ years global sales/sales management experience with a successful history of selling B2B product and services
  • Demonstrable skills in leading and motivating sales teams to success – including recruitment, lead generation, mentoring and target setting.
  • Experience of working in a high-tempo sales team environment driving and closing multiple sales deals per week.
  • Proven sales pipeline management skills, showing an understanding of the sales funnel and activities needed to drive consistent and frequent sales results
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is resilient and energetic with a never give up mentality
  • Desire to be a part of successful team with an open and flexible culture
  • Any prior experience working in the payroll marketplace would be advantageous.
  • Role will require some travel to meet with clients, so flexibility and own vehicle is a must

We’re looking for a self-motivated Compliance Manager to help ensure our operations comply with our board-approved policies and risk appetite, and the guidance provided from the FCA by providing an effective second line of defence.

This role will act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and support the work of the MLRO, working with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to ensure that our overall Risk Management Framework for remains in line with industry good practice.

This is a key hire for the business and offers the right candidate the perfect platform and autonomy to further develop our Compliance function, their own career and really make an impact at such an important stage in our journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake monthly reporting in line with board agreed policies and governance framework
  • Review the Risk and Issues log and in conjunction with the CRO and the Risk Officer identify any systemic issues and ensure any solutions are effective
  • Support the MLRO in undertaking the regular FCA reporting
  • Provide operational support to the Operations team in dealing with queries on customers, PEPs, beneficiaries
  • Review the Risk and Controls framework in conjunction with the CRO to ensure it remains fit for purpose
  • Work with the business to ensure that all policies are updated on a regular basis (at least annually)
  • Work with the CRO to set the Risk and Compliance annual plan
  • Ensure that any changes to our risk profile are identified at an early stage and to work with the CRO to ensure that these new activities/customers continue to operate within the existing controls environment or to design new controls to mitigate the new risks
  • Keep abreast with updates and developments from the FCA and other organisations that affect our operating environment
  • Support the CRO to ensure a strong risk culture exists across the organisation
  • Lead on specific projects that may arise from time to time
  • Monitor and report on compliance with the agreed training programme
  • Undertake regular analysis on existing payments activity (such as average payment value, weighted average period client money is held, etc.)
  • Interrogate and interpret risk data to provide advice and guidance to Senior Management on new products and services
  • Understand and interpret the relevant sections of the FCA handbook to ensure the company remains compliant with obligations

About you

We’re looking for a self-motivated Marketing Executive to help drive our company up scaling, and take our direct sales results to the next level.

Working in a fun, open and honest culture, and based out of our Head Office in the Wirral, you will work closely with our Business Development Team, Operations function and partnership communications agency to help us shape our message, stories, content and sales collateral to help boost brand awareness, build interest and support our sales growth.

You will also play an important part in making the best of our social and digital platforms, aided by experienced leaders and agency support, with a view to helping us reach audiences with compelling content that helps build interest in who we are and what we do.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Manage our social media platforms – i.e. primarily Twitter/LinkedIn to support build brand and new business leads and sales
  • Ensure content is high quality, rich and compliant – and focused on reaching our target audiences
  • Co-ordinate company blogs and manage e-communications to clients and prospects
  • Utilise tools (i.e. Google Analytics etc) to ensure we’re producing content focused on specific keywords and digital objectives
  • Help coordinate our communications agency support in terms of link-building and outreach, to help secure content and post placements online, whilst building good relationships with key communications partners, payment/fintech bloggers and journalists
  • Provide input/content for marketing and sales materials, ensuring they’re delivered on time and in budget, in partnership with our design agency
  • Create and upload content and images for our company website, working with our website agency
  • Communicate with clients and attend face to face meetings/events as required
  • Keep up to date with digital/social trends, industry specific news and security, legal and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely across the business with senior management, and our Business Development and Operations teams

To be suitable for this role you will have:

  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, digital savvy marketing/sales team
  • Experience in developing and promoting B2B outreach and marketing campaigns – including digital – to support new business lead generation
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced role
  • A self-starter who is proactive, shows initiative and is dependable to work autonomously
  • Excellent content writing skills with an eye for grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Strong organisational and planning skills – ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties
  • Professional with excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage prospects/customers and partners

  • Willingness to learn in the role, develop skills and build out the in-house Marketing function

  • Familiar with building a Marketing plan covering all marketing, events and media activities for the business

Desired

  • An appropriate qualification in Marketing, Business Studies or similar field
  • 3 years + experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience working in a technology/fintech business is advantageous

We’re looking for a self-motivated Senior Analyst/Technical Architect to work alongside our small team of software developers. The role will sit within the IT and Business Change function, and you will lead on existing and greenfield projects.

This is a key hire for the business and offers the right candidate the perfect platform and autonomy to further develop our IT and Business Change function, their own career and really make an impact at such an important stage in our journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Design new systems, services, and technical architectures in line with our overall business objectives
  • Produce high-level systems documentation for the development teams to follow, for governance and accreditation purposes
  • Work with off/onshore technical teams to understand the impact of change, the limitations of current systems and the gaps between implemented functionality and desired functionality
  • Translate business requirements into cost-effective IT solutions, considering the complexity of existing systems
  • Develop and embed technical architecture standards and policies aligned with industry best practice
  • Provide options and, where necessary, conduct feasibility studies, for delivery of the business requirements and key non-functional requirements
  • Estimate the cost of implementing requirements and advise on high risk/high cost/complex solution/service aspects along with proposed mitigation
  • Utilise the overall IT architecture strategy to recommend project delivery approach, typically reuse, package purchase, in-house build, or outsourced build
  • Set functional, non-functional, and architectural acceptance criteria, and evaluate potential products against those criteria
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of technology and services estate, and specific IP.

Ensure all designs can be instrumented to protect, support, and monitor the customer products and services we offer

  • Track and understand emerging technologies. and advise on the use of them while developing solution designs.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven solution design/architecture experience
  • An understanding of payments architecture
  • Proven record of transparent collaborative working
  • Experience with one or more of (in last five years): Java, C#, Angular and SQL-server
  • Experience with agile, ideally scrum
  • A high degree of personal initiative, with the drive and ability to meet challenging goals and work closely with developers
  • Excellent technical understanding and ability for logical thinking
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders up to Director level, and across the organisation
